4. Colour. Like an indoor room, your outdoor space works best when working from a specific colour palette. Furniture designers are now helping homeowners achieve a desired look and feel by offering special colour co-ordinated collections for a variety of different tastes. We know what’s new and cutting edge, we know what’s classic and traditional - at Kitchen and Patio we’ll listen to your ideas and show you what works and what doesn’t.
NATURAL IS NEW Honey browns, desert shades and muted spa blues make their way into this years colour palate. Look for patterns such as leaves, stems, branches, bees and butterfl ies to adorn more ‘reversible’ fabrics.
5. K&P in Paris. Our buying team has recently returned from Paris where they attended the popular European house and home event, Maison et Objet. Outdoor living furniture and accessories played a big role at this year’s event along with exciting new pastel colours to complement classic neutral tones. In addition to a baguette, some brie and a bottle of Bordeaux, they returned with some bold new ideas that can be found in-store for the upcoming outdoor season. The French goodies however, have long since disappeared.
